Toxochelys sp. (?)

    This fossil is tentatively identified as Toxochelys sp. (?).  Toxochelys sp. is a common Cenomanian sea turtle.  These fossilized shell fragments were recovered from the Turner Park Beds of the Eagleford Group, Tarrant County, Texas.  The fossil is interpreted as being a part of the lateral to posterior edge of the carapace.  Your comments on the identification or any other input would be greatly appreciated.  Click here to send your comments and additional input concerning these fossils.
